Free cPanel Videos on TheTeachingBox.com

This post has been very popular, so I have updated and re-posted it.

If you would like to purchase your own set of videos to view on your computer just send me an e-mail and we can arrange to get you a copy. I have priced it right!

It has been a while since I have posted something that I would consider a tutorial. I came upon this set of tutorials on the operation of cPanel. Now I'm sure some are wondering, "What is cPanel". These cPanel Video Tutorials will help you learn.

cPanel is the web hosting control panel that is widely used by web hosting companies. It provides a graphical interface that enables the user to manage all aspects of a website. cPanel is a commercial product and has a website here: http://www.cpanel.net.

cPanel can be very intimidating to new webmasters. It has a lot of functionality that takes some time to learn. Sometimes it is scary to just dive in because many of the functions are a bit cryptic once you get in, and you must be careful so that you don't break your website.

This set of videos is pretty useful, and covers what I would consider all the basics. It does take some time to view them as most are around 4-5 minutes long. They are in flash format, so you will need to have flash enabled in your browser (should not be an issue nowdays). I also have the video links open in a new window. It should not trigger your popup blocker, but if it does you may need to adjust your browser settings.

In addition to these instructional videos I suggest you visit cPanelGuide.net as I consider it the foremost authority on all of the features of cPanel and the details behind their operation.

Now on to the Video Links!

I am positive you will not be able to view all these videos in one sitting. You may not even want to view some of them as they are very basic. I found the file manager (#14) quite useful. Also the videos that deal with Domain manipulations (# 16, 17 and 18) will help you navigate some tricky functions in cPanel. I also recommend #21 because sooner or later you will need to create SQL Databases.

These videos are good quality and have decent resolution so you can see what is happening on the screen at all times. Let me know what you think. If you are interested in a copy of the entire video package for yourself or your website send me an e-mail.

Enjoy the show!

This is one of my most popular posts, so I am revising and reposting it. This is truly one of the best free books for learning PHP. Download and Enjoy!

If you run a website or blog you need to have a basic understanding of PHP and SQL. This free ebook is required reading for you.

No I don't think you need to be a programmer writing applications. You just need general information about how PHP works and the syntax of the language. This information is extremely important if you run WordPress as your platform, as WordPress is a PHP based platform.

The author doesn't really HATE PHP as you will quickly find out as you read through this book. I would consider it on par with the Dummies Guide on PHP and SQL.

I ran across this ebook a while back and want to share it with others. It is available for free download at the Virtual Library.

Let me know what you think about this book! If you have any difficulties, just send me an email and I can get the book to you another way. Give it a read and let me know what you think!

Another educational offering by TheTeachingBox.com

-Loren

Download the Book HERE or click on the Graphic above.

Many of the items in the Library are Free to Download, others have minimal charges only because I don't have the rights to give them away.

This is the VOA Special English Education Report, from voaspecialenglish.com We received a question from a listener about how American schools use educational technology. There is not a simple answer. It depends on the subject and level of students, of course. But it also depends on the interest and training of the teachers, and the goals and budgets of the schools.

Schools are almost all connected to the Internet. But some have more technology, and use it more, than others. For example, some schools use computers for activities like video conferencing, to bring the world into the classroom. And some classrooms are equipped with things like a Smart Board, a kind of interactive whiteboard. Interactive whiteboards are large displays for presentations. They connect to a computer and can operate by touch. They can be used for documents or writing or to project video. Some teachers are trying creative new ways to teach with devices like iPods and mobile phones.

But educators say the most important thing, as always, is the content. Yet technology can have special importance in some cases. Cosmobot is a therapy robot. It stands about half a meter tall and has a blue body and a friendly face with big eyes. One child who works with it is six-year-old Kevin Fitzgerald. Kevin has developmental dyspraxia; he has difficulty moving his mouth and tongue. He works with Carole Semango-Sprouse as he uses a set of buttons attached to a computer. He can make the silent robot move forward …
