How to Make a Survey using Blackboard
Understanding
how to make a survey within the Blackboard environment is very
important. This page will give a short tutorial on how to set one up. The interesting thing about the Survey Manager Tool in blackboard is the similarity to the Test Manager Tool
for all practical purposes they are identical. You will see when
we get to the Survey Canvas that the drop down options are equivalent
to those in the Test Canvas. Nevertheless they are both accessed
under the Assessment section of the Control Panel. One thing to
remember is that a survey gives group data, and cannot be connected
with a specific individual who took the survey. This is the main
difference between a survey and a test. Also there are no points
for questions in a survey.
For
the purposes of this tutorial we will focus on making a simple Survey
that could be deployed at the end of a class to get feedback on the
course content from the students. It will be left to the student
to use the Test Manager Tool to create a Test Based Assessment.
After completion of this tutorial you will be able to successfully Create and Deploy a survey for your students to use.
If at any time you wish to return here, there is a Home button at the bottom of each page.
