Now I have a business proposition for you. I enjoy my work as an Educator. The ability to teach and share information for me is truly rewarding. I would like to make my experience and expertise available to help others with their website needs.
Right now the economy is tough, and there are lots of individuals out there that need some help getting started and can't afford big time website development work or prices. My goal is not to charge a bunch of $$$ and create a site that only I can maintain. I prefer working with a person that is willing to learn and take ownership of their site. I can act as a mentor or tutor to help you along.
This is what I enjoy doing, and is also in the spirit of TheTeachingBox and my personal philosophy.

1. Free Initial Consultation
I will take a look at your site and work with you on understanding what you want to get from your website or blog. Based upon our conversations I will come up with recommendations and possible directions for your site. There is no charge for this consultation. You can take this information and proceed on your own or with my assistance.
2. Written Proposal with Timelines
I will then provide you with a detailed quote on the work to be done and the time it will take to implement. We can discuss the work and possibly divide it into stages over a longer period of time based upon your implementation needs. Again there is no charge for this quote.
3. Commence Work
Once the quote is finalized and we agree on the scope. I will commence work.
If the work is under 10 hours, I will complete the work and request payment (usually via PayPal).
For jobs longer than 10 hours I will request payment after the first 10 hours, and will repeat the process after every 10 hour time period.
Rates:
My rate for website work is $10.00/hour. All work will be quoted up front in detail through the process outlined above.
If a customer wants to retain my services for occasional site maintenance work a contract and payment can be negotiated.
For work on NON WordPress sites I have other contacts that I can refer you to for services.
